Part of the solution discussed was to take away government support by abolishing the governtment tax on liquors, and let each county vote on rather or not to sell liquor. Mr. Ranney wanted seperation of Saloon and State! The booklet also contains many news articles about Mr. Ranney and his ideas. One article called his solutions agreeable to the Socialist Movement. This is a fascinating look at another opinion to Temperance during the years leading up to Prohibition. The booklet has 23 pages and has a paper cover. There are B&W photos of some well known men of that area, and their opinions. SOLD!!
