"January 1, 1871 - South - End Express - To: Douglass & Graves, Dr - Boston, Massachusetts. - Billhead."

Picture (1071) January 1, 1871 - South - End Express - To: Douglass & Graves, Dr - Boston, Massachusetts.Condition: Very Good Billhead measures 7" by 5 1/2". There is one small split on the left fold. This very interesting Billhead includes a detailed list of charges. This list covered the entire year of 1870, and lists businesses and amounts. Evidently these were the businesses that Douglass and Graves used South-End Express, to send letters or packages to. A Broadside that was issued in 1861 in Boston, stated that South-End Express would get letters and packages to and from Roxbury and Boston. This Billhead is a wonderful piece of Early Boston History.
