(1903) Billhead - March 3, 1889 - Thomas Brabson - Refrigerator Hardware - Newark, New Jersey. Condition: Very Good Billhead measures 8 1/4" by 6 3/4". Hand written bill to Mattbie Refrigerator Co. who bought various parts from Mr. Brabson. In a write up in New Jersey's Quarter Century Progress published in 1877 (same year as this billhead) Mr. Brabson had a company he started in 1880 which was mainly a manufacturer of Saddlery and Carriage Hardware, and had just expanded the year before to Refrigerator Parts. It is said he had 2 salesmen that traveled the country selling his Saddlery and Carriage Parts. He was a native of Birmingham, England and had been in the US for twenty years, and in Newark for ten years. Price: $10.00 + shipping
