(1020) Sept. 27, 1899 - Castelberg's National Jewelry Co. - Washington D.C. Condition: Very Good Page has been folded with some wrinkles. Top of Billhead has a beautifully done vignette. Hand written bill was for a French Clock which cost $125.00.! It has been stamped PAID. The Jewelry Company is listed in records located in the Smithsonian Museum. Mr. Castelberg's advertising sample was mentioned in a 1902 publication. Castelberg, the jeweler, Washington, D. C., once displayed a picture of an ace, queen, king, jack of diamonds, and a jack of hearts in his newspaper ad. The heading reads: Diamonds are trumps at Castelberg's." A Theo Silberman is listed as Secratary of the Company in 1921. Price: $8.50 + Shipping.
